Licensing of new radio stations to serve Calgary, Alberta – Correction
1. In Licensing of new radio stations to serve Calgary, Alberta, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2012-308, 24 May 2012, the Commission incorrectly identified the date by which the licensees of new radio stations approved to serve Calgary must file requests for an extension to the implementation dates for their stations. The correct date is 24 May 2014, not 24 July 2012.
2. Accordingly, the Commission corrects the term relating to the implementation of the new radio programming undertakings to be operated by Multicultural Broadcasting Corporation Inc. and Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Ltd. (the general partner) and Jim Pattison Industries Ltd. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Limited Partnership, set out in Appendix 2 and Appendix 3 respectively.
3. In each instance, the term is replaced by the following:
Furthermore, the licence for this undertaking will be issued once the applicant has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. The undertaking must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 24 months from the date of this decision, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before 24 May 2014. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted at least 60 days before this date.
