Administrative renewals – Video-on-demand programming undertakings

1.      The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for the video-on-demand (VOD) programming undertakings listed in the appendix to this decision from 1 March 2012 to 31 May 2012, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences.1

2.      This decision does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of these licences.

[2] The Commission issued Cogeco Cable Canada Inc.’s licence renewal application under the name “Cogeco Cable Canada GP Inc. (the general partner) and Cogeco Cable Canada Inc. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Cogeco Cable Canada LP.” However, in Video-on-demand service – Acquisition of assets (corporate reorganization), Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2011-782, 16 December 2011, the Commission approved an application by Cogeco Cable Canada Inc. for authority to acquire, as part of a corporate reorganization, the assets of the regional video-on-demand undertaking from Cogeco Cable Canada GP Inc. (the general partner) and Cogeco Cable Canada Inc. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Cogeco Cable Canada LP, which resulted in a change of name for this licensee.

[3] On 1 January 2012, MTS Allstream Inc. changed its name to MTS Inc.
