Re: Local competition in the territory of Téléphone Milot Inc.
Dear Mr. Ouellette:
In a letter dated 12 July 2011, Commission staff asked that Cablovision Warwick Inc. (Warwick) send Téléphone Milot Inc. (Milot) confirmation in writing by Vidéotron ltée (Vidéotron) indicating that the latter was prepared to provide Warwick with the services that it would require to meet the obligations of a competitive local exchange carrier in the Warwick and Kingsey Falls exchanges.
The Commission has not yet received a copy of this confirmation from Warwick. Given the time that has elapsed, the file will be closed.
However, because competition in the territory of small incumbent local exchange carriers is permitted, Milot will be required to file an implementation plan for local competition with the Commission, following a new formal expression of interest signed by Warwick. The plan must include all details necessary to complete the file, including the information requested above.
