RE: Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership Tariff Notice 388 and Bell Canada – Tariff Notice 7335
Dear Mr. Palmer:
On 5 December 2011, the Commission received an application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Companies) under cover of Tariff Notice 388 and Tariff Notice 7335, respectively. The Companies proposed revisions to its General Tariff, Item 70 – Rate Schedules for Primary Exchange Service (PES) and Item 680 – Local Link Package, to modify the discount offered to individual business line PES and Local Link customers subscribing to a 1 to 5-year Minimum Contract Period (MCP).
Commission staff notes that the Commission received comments on 19 December 2011 from Comwave Telecom Inc. Staff notes that the comment period for these applications closes 17 January 2012 with the subsequent reply period ending 24 January 2012. Consequently, these applications will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day after receipt. The Commission intends to dispose of these applications within 45 business days of receipt.
