RE: Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership – Tariff Notice 389 and Bell Canada – Tariff Notice 7336 Dear

Mr. Palmer: On 5 December 2011, the Commission received an application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Companies) under cover of Tariff Notice 389 and Tariff Notice 7336, respectively. The Companies proposed revisions to its General Tariff, Item 100 – Work Function Structure, to waive or reduce the Residential Service Connection charge for all local residential installations.

Commission staff notes that it is continuing its analysis of these applications. Consequently, these applications will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day after receipt. The Commission intends to dispose of these applications within 45 business days of receipt.
