Re: MTS Tariff Page Update – Supplementary Tariff Special Services and Facilities (CRTC 24002) filed 12 July 2011 further to Telecom Decision CRTC 2011- 406
Dear Madams, Sirs:
On 20 September 2011, Bragg Communications Inc., carrying on business as EastLink, the Canadian Cable Systems Alliance, Cogeco Cable Inc., Rogers Communications Partnership, Shaw Communications Inc., and Quebecor Media Inc., on behalf of its affiliate Videotron G.P. (collectively the Cable Carriers) filed an application regarding revised tariff pages issued by MTS Allstream Inc. (MTS Allsteam) on 12 July 2011 further to Telecom Decision 2011-406[1].
Specifically, the Cable Carriers objected to one of the revisions that MTS Allstream had made to the Support Structure Tariff. That revision[2] purported to extend the unauthorized pole attachment charge of $100 per pole to all Subscriber Drop Wires “for which a Permit has not previously been issued”.
By letter dated 22 September 2011, MTS Allstream stated that it would reissue the tariff page in question which would contain the tariff wording that existed prior to Telecom Decision 2011-406. By letter dated 23 September 2011, MTS Allstream reissued the page in question which contains the wording that existed prior to Telecom Decision 2011-406.
In light of the above, the file relating to this matter has been closed.
