RE: Bell Aliant Tariff Notice 383 and Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7329 – High Definition Serial Digital Video Channel Service
Dear Sirs,
On 4 November 2011, the Commission received applications by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada, respectively under Tariff Notices 383 and 7329, in which the companies proposed changes to their General Tariffs to introduce Item 4623 – High Definition Serial Digital Video Local Channel Service. The companies have indicated that their applications are Group B retail tariff filings.
Commission staff notes that TELUS Communications Company (TCC) filed a Part 1 application on 12 August 2011 in relation to High Definition Serial Digital Video Local Channel Service (TCC’s Part 1 application). Among other things, TCC requested that the Commission address whether these services should be offered through a Commission-approved tariff when they are offered and provided within all of the Bell Canada’s incumbent territories.
Consequently, these applications, along with all associated subsequent revisions, will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day of their receipt. However, the Commission intends to dispose of these applications, along with all associated subsequent revisions, after it has rendered its determinations on TCC’s Part 1 application.
Yours sincerely,
‘Original signed by S. Bédard’
