RE: Bell Canada – Tariff Notice 7319
Dear Mr. Palmer:
On 21 July 2011, the Commission received an application by Bell Canada, under Tariff Notice 7319, in which the company proposed revisions to its Access Services Tariff - CRTC 7516, to reflect housekeeping changes.
The company indicated that its application was filed as a Group A retail tariff filing under Approval mechanisms for retail and CLEC tariffs, Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-74, 21 August 2008.
Commission staff notes that the Bell Canada’s Access Services Tariff is confined to wholesale services offered in the company’s incumbent operating territory. As such, the company’s application does not qualify for Group A treatment pursuant to Information Approval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Information Bulletin 2010-455, 5 July 2010.
In the interest of efficiency, the Commission will process this tariff application as a wholesale services tariff rather than close the file. The company is therefore not to implement these tariff revisions until a Commission order is issued disposing of this application.
