Re: Local competition in the territory of Téléphone Milot inc.
The Commission received the letter of 5 July 2011 from Cablovision Warwick Inc. (Warwick) asking that Téléphone Milot inc. (Milot) prepare its implementation plan for local competition for the Warwick and Kingsey Falls exchanges. In addition, Warwick confirms that Videotron Ltd. (Videotron) indicated that it was prepared to form a partnership with Warwick to offer telecommunications services in those two exchanges.
Before requiring that Milot file its implementation plan with the Commission, Commission staff requests that Warwick send Milot confirmation in writing by Videotron that the latter is prepared to provide Warwick with the services that the latter would require to meet the obligations of a competitive local exchange carrier in the Warwick and Kingsey Falls exchanges. A copy of that confirmation must also be submitted to the Commission.
In addition, in order that Milot may obtain the information required to develop its implementation plan and facilitate the discussions surrounding the future interconnection between Milot and Videotron (on behalf of Warwick), Commission staff requests that Warwick provide Milot with the contact information of a resource person at Videotron.
