Re: Amtelecom Limited PartnershipTariff Notice 64

Dear Madam:

The Commission received an application from Eastlink, on behalf of Amtelecom Limited Partnership (Amtelecom), dated 10 June 2011, in which the company proposed a revision to Amtelecom’s General Tariff, CRTC 25310, in order to replace the existing Call Display +4 residential bundles with a new All Features Pack bundle. In addition, Amtelecom proposed to remove its Value Package 30, which the company had previously discontinued and which has had no customers for some time.

Commission staff notes that the most current rules for dealing with tariff applications, among other things, are summarized in Approval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-455 (Telecom Bulletin 2010-455), 5 July 2010, and that the rules regarding the filing of applications requesting service destandardization or withdrawal have not changed since the issuance of Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-22.

Commission staff further notes that Amtelecom has filed an application which comprises both a Group B tariff filing and a tariff filing for service destandardization and withdrawal pursuant to Telecom Decision 2008-22, but that applications dealing with the latter are to be filed separately.

Consequently, Amtelecom is to file its requests to introduce a new All Features Pack bundle and withdraw the Value Package 30 feature as separate tariff filings, the former as a Group B filing, and the latter as a tariff filing for service destandardization and withdrawal. With respect to the withdrawal of its Value Package 30, the company is to identify when the Commission approved the company’s request for service destandardization.

Commission staff would also like to remind Amtelecom that it should refer to the procedures set out in Telecom Bulletin 2010-455 in all subsequent tariff filings, as opposed to Telecom Decision 2008-22.

In light of the above, this file is closed.

Sincerely,
