Re:Local competition in small ILEC territories – Implementation plan for Shaw
Dear Sir:
In a letter dated 29 January 2008, Shaw Telecom G.P., formerly known as Shaw Telecom Inc. (Shaw), provided a formal expression of interest to KMTS to enter the exchange of Kenora, Ontario, as a competitive local exchange carrier, serving a copy on the Commission.
In a letter dated 20 May 2011, Shaw informed the Commission and KMTS that it will not be in a position to undertake offering local exchange services within KMTS’s territory within the next year. In its letter, Shaw suggested the Commission proceed with closing this file.
In light of the above, this file is closed.
Sincerely,
‘Original signed by S. Bédard’
