RE: Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7289 – Wholesale Wireless Broadband Service
On 29 November 2010, the Commission received an application by Bell Canada under Tariff Notice 7289. In its application, Bell Canada proposed changes to its General Tariff to introduce item 5430 – Wholesale Wireless Broadband Service (WWBS).
On 23 February 2011, Commission staff informed the company that the Commission was unable to dispose of the application within 45 business days of receiving it and that it expected to dispose of the application by the end of April 2011.
In Review of billing practices for wholesale residential high-speed access services, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2011-77, 8 February 2011 (TNC 2011-77), as amended by TNC 2011-77-1, dated 17 March 2011, and 2011-77-2, dated 8 April 2011, the Commission initiated a review of the billing practices for wholesale residential high-speed access services.
Commission staff notes that the pricing structure proposed in Tariff Notice 7289 includes a usage-based billing component. Therefore, the company’s application will be considered after the Commission has issued its determinations in the TNC 2011-77 proceeding.
