Dear M. Mathieu:

Re: Application 2011-0888-7 – CHNC-FM-2 Chandler, Québec

This is in reference to the application submitted by la Coopérative des travailleurs CHNC for a technical amendment to the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CHNC-FM New Carlisle to modify the technical parameters of its transmitter CHNC-FM-2 Chandler.

Section 28(1)(a) of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure provides that the Commission may request parties to file information, particulars or documents where needed.

Please provide the following information:

  1. In Section 3 of the application form, we note that you included a fax number. However, please note that section 22 (2) b) of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure indicate all applicants must file a “website address or, if the application is not posted on their website, the email address where an electronic copy of the application may be requested”. Please file a website of email address as requested.
  2. When applying for a technical amendment, the Commission requires a number of documents be appended to the application in order for it to be processed. Appendix C of the application form requires a clearly legible comparative map (in colour if available) outlining both the existing service contours and the proposed new contours (0.5 mV/m and 3 mV/m). We note that the service contours you have filed with the Commission as Appendix C (inadvertently filed as Appendix B) are not clearly legible. Therefore please file a comparative map that will clearly represent the 0.5 mV/m and 3 mV/m contours of the existing and proposed service.
  3. We note that you have filed Appendix D. However, the map is not clearly legible. Please provide a clearly legible copy, in colour if available, of all maps included in the Engineering brief submitted to the Department of Industry.

The information requested herein should be received by the Commission no later than
22 June 2011, failing which, your application may be returned to be completed and resubmitted with the Commission should you wish to pursue this proposal.

A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.

You are reminded that applicants are required to file their applications, related documents and related correspondence electronically using Access Key.
Should you need further information concerning this application, please do not hesitate to contact me by telephone at 819-997-4672, by fax at 819-994-0218 or by E-mail at catherine.white@crtc.gc.ca.

Yours sincerely,
