Dear Ms. MacKenzie,
Re : Request by Film Nova Scotia to become a Certified Independent Production Fund.
The Commission wishes to inform you that as of 8 June 2011, Film Nova Scotia has been given certification as an independent production fund eligible to receive and administer contributions from broadcast distribution undertakings under section 29(2) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations.
The present certification for Film Nova Scotia will remain valid for as long as the fund continues to meet the criteria set out in Public Notice 1997-98, Public Notice 1999-29 and Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2010-833.
Film Nova Scotia is asked to file an executed copy of the amended bylaws within 6 weeks upon receipt of this decision (as agreed to by Film Nova Scotia in its letter dated 4 April 2011).
A list of eligible independent production funds is available on the Commission’s website (www.crtc.gc.ca), where interested parties can find such information as the address, telephone and fax numbers of the funds and the name of contact person. Film Nova Scotia’s information will be added to this list.
