CHNC-FM New Carlisle and its transmitters – Technical changes – Correction
1. In CHNC-FM New Carlisle and its transmitters – Technical changes, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2011-656, 21 October 2011, the Commission set out erroneous technical parameters for the mother station CHNC-FM New Carlisle, Quebec.
2. Accordingly, the Commission corrects that decision by replacing paragraph 2, where the technical parameters were set out, with the following:
2. The licensee proposed to change the technical parameters for the mother station CHNC-FM by increasing the average effective radiated power (ERP) from 3,400 to 3,900 watts (maximum ERP from 5,350 to 6,200 watts and effective height of antenna above average terrain (EHAAT) from 180 to 200 metres).[1] All other technical parameters would remain unchanged. The licensee indicated that this technical change would help to solve certain technical problems due to the very irregular topography of the area, as well as to correct some technical reliability problems the service was experiencing.
