CJBR-TV Rimouski – Licence amendment
1. The Commission approves an application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to amend the broadcasting licence for the French-language television programming undertaking CJBR-TV Rimouski in order to add a post-transition digital transmitter in Rimouski. The Commission did not receive any intervention in connection with this application.
2. The new transmitter CJBR-DT will operate on channel 45 with an average effective radiated power (ERP) of 110,220 watts (maximum ERP of 167,540 watts with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 283.4 meters).
3. The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the authorities granted in this decision will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
*This decision is to be appended to the licence.
