Deadlines for final written comments and final written replies for Items 28 to 31 submitted following the appearing phase of the hearing

In Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2011-427-2, the Commission announced that it would hold an appearing phase to the 19 September 2011 hearing to consider the applications by Bayshore Broadcasting Corporation (item 28), Frank Torres, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated (item 29), MZ Media Inc. (item 30) and Evanov Communications Inc., on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated (item 31). On 1 November 2011, the Commission received a procedural request from Corus Entertainment Inc. (Corus) requesting the opportunity to submit final written comments and for applicants to file a final written reply in relation to any new information or evidence that may be presented by the above-mentioned applicants during the appearing phase of this hearing.

Following Corus’ procedural request, the Commission announces that interveners who filed written interventions in relation to the above-noted applications will have an opportunity to file final written comments, following the appearing phase of this hearing, provided that they serve a copy to concerned applicants and file them with the Commission on or before 28 November 2011. The applicants may file a final reply, provided that they serve a copy to concerned interveners, on or before 5 December 2011.

Final written comments and replies should be no more than 10 pages. Parties are reminded that no new evidence should be introduced in their final written comments and replies with the exception of information requested by the Commission.
