Streamlining the payment and processing of CRTC fees – New electronic fund transfer service

1.      The Commission is introducing an electronic fund transfer service for the payment of CRTC fees by broadcasting and telecommunications companies. This service is being offered to streamline the payment and processing of fees.

2.      Effective 1 April 2011, broadcasting and telecommunications companies will be able to make fee payments in Canadian currency via direct deposit or wire transfer. Instructions for electronically remitting broadcasting licence fees (Parts I and II) and telecommunications fees to the Commission will be sent to all fee payers along with their respective invoices during 2011.

3.      For more information or instructions on how to initiate an electronic fund transfer to the Commission, fee payers can contact the Commission’s Finance division at Finance@crtc.gc.ca.
