Re: Follow up to Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2010-632, Wholesale high-speed access services proceeding, 30 August 2010 – Preliminary procedural matter
In a letter dated 29 November 2010, Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant) and Bell Canada (collectively the Bell companies) filed proposed tariffs and associated cost studies to introduce Item 5440 – Gateway Access Service - Fibre to the Node (GAS-FTTN) and Item 5450 – High Speed Access Service - Fibre to the Node (HSA-FTTN). The Bell companies also proposed that comments on their proposed tariffs be filed coincident with comments on the proposed tariffs and cost studies filed on 10 December 2010 by the other parties.
In a letter dated 9 December 2010, Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. (CNOC) requested that the Commission provide clarification on the Bell companies’ proposal that comments on their proposed tariffs be filed coincident with comments on the proposed tariffs and cost studies filed on 10 December 2010 by the other parties.
Commission staff finds it appropriate that comments on the Bell companies’ proposed tariffs be filed coincident with comments on the proposed tariffs and cost studies filed on 10 December 2010 by the other parties. Accordingly, comments on proposed tariffs for all incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) are to be filed by 10 Jan 2011, and reply comments by the ILECs are to be filed by 20 Jan 2011.
