Dear Sirs:

Re: Associated with Bell Aliant Tariff Notice 349 and Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7293

In a letter dated 14 December 2010, Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant) and Bell Canada (collectively the Bell companies) filed revisions to their General Tariffs, Item 5410 – Gateway Access Service (GAS).

In the table provided at paragraph 4 of their letter, the Bell companies indicate that under their current retail usage based billing (UBB) program they offer a downstream speed option of 5 Mbps for both Ontario and Quebec. Commission staff notes that Bell Canada’s website shows “Performance” retail service downstream speeds of 6 Mbps and 7 Mbps respectively for Ontario and Quebec, which appear to be inconsistent with the information provided in the Bell companies’ letter.

The Bell companies are requested to explain the above-mentioned discrepancy by 22 December 2010. This reply must be received, not merely sent, by that date.

Yours sincerely,
