Dear Mr. Halwa:
Re: Obligations of local VoIP service providers with respect to 9-1-1 emergency service
In a letter dated 7 December 2010, Commission staff advised NanoFibre Networks Inc. (NanoFibre) to modify the company’s proposed customer notification texts in order to comply with the directives in Follow-up to Emergency services obligations for local VoIP service providers, Decision 2005-21 – Customer notification requirements, Telecom Decision CRTC 2005-61, 20 October 2005 (Telecom Decision 2005-61). On 8 December 2010, in response to the above-noted letter, NanoFibre filed revisions to its proposed customer notification texts.
This is to advise that Commission staff has reviewed NanoFibre’s customer notification texts and considers that they are in compliance with the Commission’s determinations in Telecom Decision 2005-61.
Yours sincerely,
