Dear Madam, Sir:
Re: Follow up to Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2010-632; Cable carriers’ TPIA cost studies - request for extension
The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 19 November 2010 from Shaw Communications Inc. (Shaw) requesting an extension in the date for filing its TPIA cost studies. Shaw submitted that resource constraints prevented it from filing cost studies within the time frame set out in Telecom Regulatory Policy 2010-632 and requested an extension to 10 December 2010. Quebecor Media Inc. (QMI), on behalf of its affiliate Videotron Ltd., Rogers Communications (Rogers), and Cogeco Cable Inc. (Cogeco) supported Shaw’s requested extension. The Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. (CNOC) opposed the extension request, citing lack of any specific justification.
In the circumstances, a one-time extension to Shaw, QMI, Rogers, and Cogeco for filing their TPIA cost studies is appropriate. Accordingly, their TPIA cost studies are to be filed with the Commission and served on all parties by 10 December 2010 at the latest.
The above material must be received, not merely sent, by the above dates.
Yours sincerely,
