Subject: Tariff Notice 541 – Deposits and alternatives
On 18 May 2010, the Commission received an application from TELUS Communications Company (TCC), under cover of Tariff Notice (TN) 541, in which the company proposed an amendment to General Tariff item 1.02 “Terms of Service.” The company identified its application as a Group B retail filing.
Commission staff is continuing its analysis of this application as it raises questions relating to enforcement of Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act with regard to TCC General Tariff 25080, or, specifically, item 1.02.06 of the terms of service. Consequently, this application, along with all associated subsequent amendments, will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day of their receipt. However, the Commission intends to dispose of this application, along with any subsequent amendments associated with it, within 45 business days of receipt of the filing.
