Dear Madams, Sirs:

Re: Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2009-261, High-speed access hearing, Teksavvy’s request for change in process

The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 25 May 2010 from Teksavvy Solutions Inc. (Teksavvy), requesting that parties be allowed to file written replies.

Commission staff notes that under the existing process, parties have had an opportunity to make three rounds of written submissions and to test the evidence of other parties through several rounds of interrogatories. Further, the oral hearing provides an opportunity for the submission of oral argument and oral rebuttal argument. In addition, there is an opportunity for final written argument following the conclusion of the oral hearing. In the circumstances, Commission staff considers that the existing process provides parties with an opportunity to make meaningful representations and that the addition of a written reply argument phase is not necessary. Accordingly, Teksavvy’s request is denied.

Yours sincerely,
