RE: Tariff Notice 231 – Toll Restrictor

Dear Mr. Hersche:

The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), on 25 February 2010, under cover of Tariff Notice 231, in which the company proposed to modify its General Tariff, Item 170.15 - Toll Restrictor. SaskTel proposed to reduce the monthly rates of specific toll restrictor types, and filed a cost study in support of the proposed rates.

In a telephone conversation on 3 March 2010, Commission staff notified the company that the cost study and proposed tariff page required certain modifications. The Commission is currently awaiting an amended filing from SaskTel.

Consequently, this application will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day following its receipt. The Commission, however, intends to dispose of the application, along with any subsequent amendments associated with it, within 45 business days of the date of the last amendment filed.

Yours sincerely,
