RE:  Registration of Michaud Technologies Inc. as a CLEC in Îles de la Madeleine, Québec

Dear Mr. Michaud,

On 26 November 2008, Michaud Technologies Inc. wrote to the Commission declaring its intention to become a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in the Télébec LIR of Îles de la Madeleine, Québec.

The Commission subsequently granted Proposed CLEC status to Michaud Technologies Inc. on 28 December 2009.

The Commission wishes to acknowledge that as of 16 February 2010, Michaud Technologies Inc. has successfully completed the CLEC obligations as set out in Local Competition, Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8, 1 May 1997 (Decision 97-8).

As such, Michaud Technologies Inc. is considered a CLEC and will be added to the CRTC’s CLEC registration list. Michaud Technologies Inc. may provide local exchange services as a CLEC in the exchanges noted above, provided it continues to meet the requirements of Decision 97-8 and complies on an ongoing basis with the Canadian ownership and control requirements set out in section 16 of the Telecommunications Act and in the Canadian Telecommunications Common Carrier Ownership and Control Regulations (the Regulations).

These requirements include the obligation to complete, on an annual basis, the ownership and control forms in accordance with subsection 16(4) of the Regulations. Failure to comply with statutory requirements may result in the revocation of Michaud Technologies Inc.’s authority to provide service and removal from the CRTC’s registration list.

Yours sincerely,

Conrad Amenta for/Stephen Delaney
