Re: Bell Aliant Tariff Notice 269 and Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7205 – Proposed unbundled local loop rate increases

Dear Sirs:

On 29 January 2010, the Commission received a letter from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (the Bell companies) indicating that they would be unable to provide responses to the Commission’s interrogatories in the proceeding referenced above, in the timeframe specified in the Commission’s 23 December 2009 letter. The Bell companies further indicate that they would be unable to commence work on these interrogatories until after 26 February 2010 and that subsequent to that date, the Bell companies would advise the Commission of the date that they would be in the position to provide the responses.

In order to assist the Commission, the Bell companies are to indicate on the public record and as soon as possible, the date by which they expect to be in the position to file the responses to the Commission’s interrogatories. Revised procedural timelines will be established once this indication has been received.

In light of the above, the process set out in the Commission’s letter dated 23 December 2009 to complete the review of Tariff Notices 269 and 7205 is suspended.

Yours sincerely,
