MuchMusic – Licence amendments – Corrections
1. In paragraph 25 of MuchMusic – Licence amendments, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2010-875, 25 November 2010, which relates to condition of licence 6 of the service, the Commission identified the period of time relating to the exhibition of Canadian programs by the service as “broadcast week.” However, this should have read “broadcast year.” Accordingly, paragraph 25 of that decision should read as follows (changes in bold):
25. The condition of licence relating to the amount of Canadian programming that must be broadcast by MuchMusic currently reads as follows:
6. The licensee shall devote to the distribution of Canadian programs not less than
(a) 60% of the broadcast year and
(b) 50% of the time from 6:00 p.m. to midnight (Eastern time) during each broadcast year.
2. Further, in a new condition of licence for the service set out in paragraph 52 of that decision, the Commission indicated that a specified maximum percentage of programming drawn from specific program categories applies to program categories 8(b) and (c), whereas these program categories should not have been included in the condition of licence. Accordingly, this condition of licence should read as follows:
The licensee shall devote not more than 10% of the programming broadcast over the broadcast month to programming drawn from each of program categories 2(b) and 6(a), and 7(b), (f) and (g) combined.
