Revocation of licence
1. Okalakatiget Society has requested the revocation of its licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking authorized to serve Nain and Happy Valley/Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. The licensee is requesting the revocation because it now operates an undertaking that meets the exemption criteria set out in Exemption order respecting certain native radio undertakings, Public Notice CRTC 1998-62, 9 July 1998.
2. Given the licensee’s request, the Commission revokes, pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the broadcasting licence issued to Okalakatiget Society for the above-mentioned undertaking.
