Re: Suspension of tariff approval during the Holiday period
In Telecom Circular 2005-9 issued on 1 November 2005, the Commission finalized the approval process applicable to retail tariff filings and interconnection agreements, with the exception of applications for destandardization or withdrawal of service.
In Telecom Decision 2008-22 issued on 6 March 2008, the Commission established new procedures for the disposition of applications dealing with the destandardization/withdrawal of tariffed services
In Telecom Decision 2008-74 issued on 21 August 2008, the Commission determined that Group B tariff filings will be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day after they are filed, unless Commission staff issues a letter prior to the 15th calendar day indicating otherwise.
In view of scheduled vacations for the Holidays, Commission staff advises applicants that the consideration of tariff filings is suspended for filings that will be received after the end of business day on 15 December 2009 and up to 3 January 2010. Accordingly, those filings will be considered as received by the Commission on 4 January 2010, and the regular process established by the Commission for each type of filing covered under Circular 2005-9, Decision 2008-22 and Decision 2008-74 will resume on 4 January 2010.
