Re: Shaw Tariff Notice 12

Dear Mr Brazeau:

Commission staff is in receipt of Tariff Notice 12 regarding changes to the tariff for Shaw Cablesystems’s (Shaw) Third Party Internet Access (TPIA) service as directed in Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2009-657 (TRP CRTC 2009-657), Review of the Internet traffic management practices of Internet service providers, 21 October 2009.

Commission staff notes that Shaw’s proposed amendments to its TPIA tariff are for information only, consistent with paragraph 91 of TRP 2009-657. As such these pages need only to be issued, not provided under the cover of a Tariff Notice. Hence, Tariff Notice 12 is closed.

Commission staff also notes that the proposed tariff page does not reflect the authority under which it has been issued. Commission staff requests that Shaw provide a revised tariff page specifying that the authority for the tariff page is TRP CRTC 2009-657.

Yours sincerely,
