Re: Bell Aliant Tariff Notice 270 and Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7206

Dear Mr. Palmer and Mr. Henry:

On 3 June 2009, the Commission received an application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership, under cover of Tariff Notice 270, and from Bell Canada, under cover of Tariff Notice 7206, in which the companies proposed modifications to their tariffs for Gateway Access Service and High Speed Access Service.

Commission staff notes that it issued interrogatories to the companies on 30 July 2009 and that the Canadian Association of Internet Providers has intervened.

In light of the complexity of the applications, the Commission will not be able to render a decision within 45 business days of the date of receipt of the applications. The Commission expects to dispose of these applications prior to the end of December 2009.

Yours sincerely,
