Parties to Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2009-432

Subject:  Call for comments - Review of the large incumbent local exchange carriers’ support structure service rates, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2009-432, 21 July 2009 – Requests from cable carriers

Dear Madams and Sirs:

In a letter to the Commission dated 2 September 2009 Bragg Communications Inc., the Canadian Cable Systems Alliance, Cogeco Cable Inc., Rogers Communications Inc., Shaw Communications Inc. and Quebecor Media Inc., on behalf of its affiliate Videotron Ltd. (collectively, the cable carriers) requested, for the reasons set out in that letter, that certain interrogatory responses considered in the proceeding initiated by Call for comments - Review of the large incumbent local exchange carriers’ support structure service rates, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2009-432, 21 July 2009 (the notice) be disclosed.  In that letter and, in particular in paragraph 42, the cable carriers requested that:

The cable carriers also filed an application on 11 September 2009, seeking a ruling from the Commission to direct the ILECs to disclose on the public record their historical and current estimates for each of the cost elements and allocation factors identified in the pricing methodology adopted in Decision 95-13, as shown in Attachment A to their application, that have been or are filed in the course of this proceeding.

The ILECs and other parties may file comments on both cable carriers’ submissions by 21 September 2009 and the cable carriers may file comments in reply by 28 September 2009.

The above material must be received, not merely sent, by this date.  All submissions must be served on all other parties by the dates provided herein.

Further, procedural dates in the notice will be revised once the above-noted applications have been addressed.
