Dear Madams, Sirs:

Re:  Follow-up to Notice of Consultation 2009-194 - Call for comments - Nomadic VoIP E9-1-1 service

In Notice of Consultation 2009-194 - Call for comments - Nomadic VoIP E9-1-1 service, (Notice of Consultation 2009-194) the Commission directed Access Service Providers to file cost studies for the implementation of a Location Determination Platform (LDP) in their network in order to support the nomadic VoIP E9-1-1 service as proposed in the Canadian i2 architecture. In addition interested parties were requested to provide submissions regarding any viable alternatives to the proposed nomadic VoIP E9-1-1 service that would improve on the current nomadic VoIP 9-1-1 service.

The Commission has received the submissions and requests the various interested parties to provide responses to the attached interrogatories regarding the cost studies and alternative proposals. Responses to these interrogatories are to be filed with the Commission and served on the parties listed on the distribution list by 18 September 2009.

Commission staff notes that the revised schedule for the remainder of the process has been spelled out in a Commission letter dated 12 May 2009.

Yours sincerely,
