Re: Local Competition in small ILEC territories
On 30 July 2009, Commission staff received a request from TELUS Communications Company (TELUS) for a one-week extension to provide its responses to questions, addressed to parties in a Commission staff letter dated 26 June 2009 relating to local competition in small incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) territories.
The responses to staff's questions were to be provided by 31 July 2009, with comments on the responses provided by 14 August 2009 and reply comments by 28 August 2009.
Because of the vacation season, TELUS proposed that responses to questions be provided by 7 August 2009. TELUS also proposed that comments on the responses be provided by 21 August 2009, and reply comments provided by 4 September 2009, if an overall one-week delay to the proceeding was acceptable to Commission staff.
Commission staff considers TELUS' requested extension to be reasonable, and agrees to the above noted procedural dates as proposed by TELUS.
