Re: Follow-up to Telecom Regulatory Policy 2009-40
In Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2009-40 – Implementation of wireless Phase II E9-1-1 service, (Decision 2009-40), the Commission directed each ILEC to file proposed revised wireless E9-1-1 service tariffs regarding the implementation of wireless Phase II Stage 1 E9-1-1 service, within three months of the decision.
The Commission received tariff applications with supporting cost studies from Bell Canada, Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership, MTS Allstream Inc. (MTS Allstream), Telus Communications Company and Saskatchewan Telecommunications.
In Telecom Order CRTC 2009-375, dated 19 June 2009, the Commission approved on an interim basis the associated tariff applications: Bell Aliant TNs 271 and 350; Bell Canada TN 7208; MTS Allstream TN 677A; Saskatchewan Telecommunications TN 212; TELUS Communications Company TN 360.
To assist the Commission to dispose of the ILECs’ cost submissions, each ILEC is requested to provide responses to the attached interrogatories concerning their respective cost studies. Responses to these interrogatories are to be filed with the Commission and served on the parties listed on the distribution list, by 14 August 2009.
Commission staff intends to set out further process after receipt of the responses to these interrogatories.
Yours sincerely,
