RE: Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership TN 218, Bell Canada TN 7163, Saskatchewan Telecommunications TN 189A, and TELUS Communications Company TN 168D – request for extension and revised timelines for comments and reply comments
On 13 March 2009, Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant) and Bell Canada sought an extension for filing responses to interrogatories posed to the companies and other parties on 5 March and 11 March 2009. The companies indicated that they were unable to meet the 3 April 2009 deadline because of resource constraints due to the extensive costing-related workload associated with a number of proceedings currently underway.
Commission staff considers that the requested extension is reasonable. Accordingly, responses to the interrogatories noted above are to be filed with the Commission and served on the parties listed on the distribution list by 15 April 2009.
In light of the above, Commission staff revises the dates for comments and reply comments identified in the Commission staff’s 11 March 2009 letter as follows:
- Interested parties may file comments, or to the extent that they have already filed comments, may supplement their comments, by 22 April 2009, serving a copy on the parties who have participated to date. Comments are to be restricted to the responses to the interrogatories posed in the Attachment.
- Bell Aliant, Bell Canada, Saskatchewan Telecommunications, and TELUS Communications Company may file reply comments, serving a copy on those parties who filed comments on their interrogatory responses by 29 April 2009.
