Dear Mr. Woodhead:

Re: Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-33 – TELUS Communications Company Network access charge

This letter constitutes the Commission's determination with respect to a proposal by TELUS Communications Company (TCC) with regards to the Commission's directives in TELUS Communications Company - Network access charge, Telecom Decision 2008-33, 17 April 2008 (Telecom Decision 2008-33).

In Telecom Decision 2008-33, the Commission determined that it was inappropriate for TCC to impose a $2.95 per month network access charge on certain residential subscribers of basic toll services and directed TCC to reimburse or credit those affected customers.

In addition, the Commission directed TCC to file a proposal, within six months of the date of the decision, for dealing with any amounts that the company could not reimburse or credit because it was unable to locate certain eligible subscribers.

By letter, dated 31 October 2008, TCC proposed to give the amount, which it had been unable to credit or refund to eligible subscribers, to a registered local charity in TCC 's territories of Alberta and British Columbia.

TCC's proposal to give these amounts to a registered charity is approved.

Sincerely,

'Original signed by Robert Morin'

Robert A. Morin
Secretary General
