Dear Mr. Orest:

RE: Tariff Notice 347

On 24 February 2009, the Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Company (TCC), under cover of Tariff Notice 347, in which the company proposed revisions to its General Tariff CRTC 21461 – Section III, Features and Optional Services, in order to destandardize certain calling features and/or options for residential service related to the following tariff items:

•  Item 300 – Call Management Services
•  Item 302 – Residential Value Bundle
•  Item 303 – Residence No Limits Bundle
•  Item 315 – Residential Features Bundle
•  Item 317 – Residential One Feature or Call Display Plus Bundle

TCC further proposed to revise certain rate ranges for some specific calling features and package options for residential service as follows:

•  Item 300 – Call Management Services

•  Call Gate - to revise the minimum rate
•  Call Gate with Residence Value Bundle or Residence no Limits Bundle - to revise the maximum rate

•  Item 302 - Residential Value Bundle

•  Local exchange carrier (three (3) features) - to revise the minimum rate
•  Local exchange carrier and Primary exchange carrier (three (3) features) - to revise the maximum rate

With respect to the company's proposed revisions to rate ranges, Commission staff notes that pursuant to Approval mechanisms for retail and CLEC tariffs , Telecom Decision 2008-74, 21 August 2008, filings that include characteristics of Group A must include Group A certification.   Accordingly, TCC is to file a certification that the proposed rate range revisions related to the minimum rates meet the imputation test, within 7 calendar days of the date of this letter.   The Commission intends to process the company's proposed revisions related to rate ranges, as filed in this application, under the time frames for destandardization applications.

Yours sincerely,
