Drayton Valley, Alberta Application No. 2009-0456-7 |
||
Application by Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Ltd. (the general partner) and Jim Pattison Industries Ltd. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Limited Partnership (Pattison), to amend the broadcasting licence of the English-language FM commercial radio programming undertaking CIBW-FM Drayton Valley.
The licensee proposes to amend the station's authorized contours by increasing the effective radiated power (ERP) from 7,400 watts to 50,000 watts (non-directionnal antenna with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 123.0 metres).
The licensee has indicated that these amendments will prevent interference between CIBW-FM and CFEX-FM Calgary. The increase in ERP from 7,400 watts to 50,000 watts will avoid the overlap in contours with CFEX-FM as stated in the agreement between Harvard Broadcasting Inc. and Pattison.
