| Application by Rogers Broadcasting Limited to amend the broadcasting licence for the national, English-language specialty television programming undertaking known as Outdoor Life Network. | ||
| The licensee proposes to amend condition of licence 1 b) by adding categories 7(b) Ongoing comedy series (sitcom), 7(e) Animated television programs and films and 7(f) Programs of comedy sketches, improvisation, unscripted works, stand-up comedy to the list of categories from which it may draw programming. | ||
| Further, the licensee proposes to amend condition of licence 1 d) by including all subcategories of category 7, by increasing the limit of programming broadcast during the broadcast year from 5% to 25% and by removing restrictions concerning feature films and Canadian programs. The licensee proposes to replace the condition of licence with the following: | ||

The licensee shall devote not more than 25% of all programming broadcast during the broadcast year to programming drawn from category 7. |
||
| The licensee also proposes to amend condition of licence 1 c), which imposes restrictions on programming drawn from category 6(a) Professional sports by removing the restriction on programming that include stick and/or ball sports, including hockey, baseball, football, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis. The licensee proposes to replace the condition of licence with the following: | ||

The licensee shall devote not more than 15% of all programming broadcast during the broadcast day to programming drawn from category 6(a). |

| The licensee is of the view that these amendments will allow for a more well-rounded programming offering that responds to the expectations of its viewers. The licensee also states that it has filed this application in light of the programming flexibility for specialty services announced in Regulatory frameworks for broadcasting distribution undertakings and discretionary programming services, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2008-100, 30 October 2008. | ||
