LetterOttawa, 14 November 2008 File no.: 8740-S74-200811903 By E-mail Ms. Louise Bégin RE: Tariff Notice 4 - Revisions to the Competitive Local Exchange Carrier General Tariff On 2 September 2008, the Commission received Tariff Notice 4 from 9164-3122 Québec Inc. (Sogetel Numérique). In its application, the company proposed modifications to its Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) General Tariff in order to introduce a 9-1-1 Emergency Response Service section, pursuant to the directives set out in Review of the regulatory requirement for CLEC-municipality agreements for the provision of 9-1-1 service , Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-72, 11 August 2008. A proceeding to establish a model tariff for 9-1-1 Emergency Response Service may be initiated shortly. Consequently, the Commission will not be able to render a decision within 45 business days of the date of receipt of the application. The Commission intends to dispose of the application within the first quarter of 2009.
