Re: Axia SuperNet Ltd. - Application to review and vary part of Telecom Decision 2008-1 related to the use of deferral account funds for broadband expansion, Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-87

In Axia SuperNet Ltd. - Application to review and vary part of Telecom Decision 2008-1 related to the use of deferral account funds for broadband expansion , Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-87, 9 September 2008 (Telecom Decision 2008-87), the Commission determined that insufficient information was available to determine whether broadband service was being provided to 30 communities in Alberta as of 19 February 2007. In order to obtain a full record to evaluate the request of Axia SuperNet Ltd. to exclude the 30 communities from the list approved for TELUS Communications Company in Use of deferral account funds to improve access to telecommunications services for persons with disabilities and to expand broadband services to rural and remote communities , Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-1, 17 January 2008, the Commission directed that certain alternate broadband service providers (ABSPs) file broadband service information with the Commission, and serve a copy on all parties to the proceeding initiated by Review of proposals to dispose of the funds accumulated in the deferral accounts , Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2006-15, 30 November 2006 (the Telecom Public Notice 2006-15 proceeding).   The Commission described that information requirement to include the information identified in paragraph 9(a) of Telecom Public Notice 2006-15 as well as answers to interrogatories issued concurrent with Telecom Decision 2008-87.

In order to have a full record on which to consider these exclusion requests, the Commission, in the attachments to this letter, is addressing interrogatories to the ABSPs identified in the following table with respect to the communities noted therein:
