LetterOttawa, 30 July 2008 File No.: 8740-T66-200808355 BY E-MAIL Mr. Terry Connolly Dear Mr. Connolly: Re: TCC Tariff Notice 307A, TCBC Tariff Notice 4306A, and TCI Tariff Notices 609A and 609B On 16 July 2008, the Commission received applications by TELUS Communications Company (TCC), under cover of TCC Tariff Notice 307A, TCBC Tariff Notice 4306A, and TCI Tariff Notice 609A. The latter was amended by the company on 22 July 2008 under cover of Tariff Notice 609B. In these applications, TCC proposed revisions to its General Tariffs to update tariff pages related to business local exchange services for Alberta and British Columbia that are subject to forbearance from regulation. The proposed revisions reflect the Commission's determinations in TELUS Communications Company - Application for forbearance from the regulation of business local exchange services, Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-92, 27 September 2007 . Commission staff notes that TCC's proposal to remove rate sub-bands is associated with the company's proposal in Tariff Notice 308 for Pay Telephone Access Line Service. In a letter dated 27 June 2008 , TCC was advised that Tariff Notice 308 would be disposed of jointly with Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7129 and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership, Tariff Notice 187. Consequently, the Commission will be unable to render a decision within 10 business days of receipt of this application. The Commission expects to render its decision within 45 business days of the application being filed. Yours sincerely, Original signed by Suzanne Bédard |
