Re: Follow-up to Commission staff letter dated 5 June 2008 : File # 8638-C12-200512964

By letter dated 5 June 2008 (copy attached), Commission staff reminded all local exchange carriers (LECs) of their obligations to ensure that local VoIP service providers to whom they are providing telecommunications services are complying with their local VoIP 9-1-1 emergency service obligations as directed by the Commission.   In that regard, all LECs were requested in that letter to provide certain information to the Commission by 27 June 2008.

The companies included in the attached distribution list have not yet responded to the 5 June 2008 letter.   These companies are requested to submit the information requested in the 5 June 2008 letter without further delay.
