LetterOttawa, 21 January 2008 File No.: 8740-B54-200800137 By E-mail Mr. Denis E. Henry Dear Mr. Henry: RE: Tariff Notice153 - Change of ownership On 7 January 2008, the Commission received an application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant), under cover of Tariff Notice 153, in which the company proposed modifications to the existing Kenora Municipal Telephone System General Tariff to identify the change of ownership to Bell Aliant and reflect the new operating name. Bell Aliant indicated that it would inform the Commission once final approval of the transaction was provided by Kenora City Council, which the Commission received on 18 January 2008. Accordingly, it will not be able to render a decision within 10 business days of the date of receipt of the application. The Commission expects to render its determination prior to the end of the month. Yours sincerely, Original signed by Suzanne Bédard cc: C.
