CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee - Consensus items

  In this Decision, the Commission approves a consensus report regarding guidelines for the assignment of 555-NXX telephone numbers in Canada.

1.

The Canadian Steering Committee on Numbering (CSCN) of the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) submitted a consensus report to the CISC Steering Committee (SC).

On 14 December 2007, the SC approved the following report and subsequently referred it to the Commission for consideration:
 

- CSCN TIF Report 68 re: TIF 61 - Review of INC 555 NXX Assignment Guidelines, 23 November 2007 (CNRE068A). The CSCN created an adjunct to the Industry Numbering Committee 555-NXX Assignment Guidelines to reflect Canadian regulatory requirements and geographically unique circumstances.

The report is available on the Commission's website at www.crtc.gc.ca.

The Commission has reviewed and approves the above-noted consensus report.
