CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee - Consensus items

  In this Decision, the Commission approves consensus reports regarding limiting the availability of Numbering Plan Area 418 central office codes, and revisions to the Canadian Numbering Plan and Dialing Plan.

1.

Several working groups of the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) submitted consensus reports to the CISC Steering Committee (SC).

On 20 February 2008, the SC approved the following reports and subsequently referred them to the Commission for consideration:
 

- Recommendation for Modifying the Jeopardy Contingency Plan (JCP) to address the CNA's revised Projected Exhaust Date of August 2008, 17 December 2007 (TIF Report #2). The Numbering Plan Area (NPA) 418 Relief Planning Committee proposed modifications to the JCP to limit the availability of NPA 418 central office codes while NPA 418 remained in a jeopardy condition.

 

- CSCN TIF Report 69 re: TIF 75 - CSCN Guidelines Review: revised Canadian Numbering Plan and Dialing Plan, 4 February 2008 (CNRE069A). The Canadian Steering Committee on Numbering proposed revisions to the Canadian Numbering Plan and Dialing Plan to reflect recent Commission determinations and current industry practices.

The Commission has reviewed and approves the above-noted consensus reports.
