Class 3 cable broadcasting distribution undertaking - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the Class 3 cable broadcasting distribution undertaking (BDU) serving Salmon Arm, from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2015.

2.

The Commission also approves the licensee's request for the deletion of the condition of licence authorizing the distribution of the Deutsche Welle radio service. 3.

The operation of this cable BDU is regulated pursuant to the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations. The licence will be subject to the conditions specified therein.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

5.

In accordance with Implementation of an employment equity policy, Public Notice CRTC 1992-59, 1 September 1992, the Commission encourages the licensee to consider employment equity issues in its hiring practices and in all other aspects of its management of human resources.
