Licence renewal for the native radio network at Wendake |

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the Montagnais- and Attikamekw-language FM radio network operated by the Société de Communication Attikamekw-Montagnais inc., from 1 January 2009 to 31 August 2015. The licence will be subject to the conditions set out therein as well as the conditions set out in the appendix to this decision. |

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application. |

In each broadcast week, the network broadcasts 25 hours of programming, of which 12 hours 30 minutes are in the Montagnais-Innu language and 12 hours 30 minutes in the Attikamekw language. |

The Commission expects that the programming offered by the network to member stations complies with the Radio Regulations, 1986, the conditions of licence of the individual stations and the conditions announced in Changes to conditions of licence for certain native radio undertakings, Public Notice CRTC 2001-70, 15 June 2001. |

Conditions of licence |
|
1. In each broadcast week, a minimum of 35% of all musical selections from category 2 (Popular Music) shall be devoted to Canadian selections broadcast in their entirety.

2. If the licensee originates 42 or more hours of programming in any broadcast week, it shall adhere to the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Equitable Portrayal Code, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission. However, the application of the foregoing condition of licence will be suspended if the licensee is a member in good standing of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.

3. The licensee shall adhere to the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Broadcast Code for Advertising to Children, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.
