Licence renewal for the native radio network at Wendake

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the Montagnais- and Attikamekw-language FM radio network operated by the Société de Communication Attikamekw-Montagnais inc., from 1 January 2009 to 31 August 2015. The licence will be subject to the conditions set out therein as well as the conditions set out in the appendix to this decision.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

In each broadcast week, the network broadcasts 25 hours of programming, of which 12 hours 30 minutes are in the Montagnais-Innu language and 12 hours 30 minutes in the Attikamekw language.

The Commission expects that the programming offered by the network to member stations complies with the Radio Regulations, 1986, the conditions of licence of the individual stations and the conditions announced in Changes to conditions of licence for certain native radio undertakings, Public Notice CRTC 2001-70, 15 June 2001.
